Exhausted Mind

I have come to understand a fact. This fact took me a whole year and almost 3 semesters to understand. It’s a simple statement that students at university level are overburdened and utterly exhausted!! Our perceived image is always of young adults partying but what the administration fails to understand is that we are on the verge of a nervous breakdown! No one ever said that higher education would be easy and I never expected it to be so hectic.
Education in today's world is tough and over flowing on top of our minds.
The issue is that the course burden gets too much and in the end we are left with a million kinds of notes every deadline imaginable and an unreasonable teacher. Faculty should take into account that we are students not mules. Yes work and extra hard work at this level is very important!! No doubt on that, but issuing unreasonable time limits and work load is too much. I have a relative at NYU and he himself admits that the work load a typical Pakistani student faces at college/university level is just murderous! Think about it! What do we need? Overburdened, exhausted and book worm students or educated, enlightened creative and strong willed leaders!
