Organizational Ethics


The principal importance of the human resides in the person’s character as long as that personality is truly ‘Alive’.  Similar is true for organizations like businesses, churches, clubs, unions, guilds, affinity groups, fraternities political parties, non-profit organizations, charities, families and etc. Their life and measures provide value interested in themselves. Ever since the 21st Century it is becoming increasingly complex; ethics have developed into more and more multifarious as well.  No longer be able to be done without a huge amount of careful concern.  Relations are extremely complex and fragile.  As we exist and make effort in very secure and rapid proximity.  Care should be taken.  A healthy and sound personal ethical consciousness in all contexts is a type of protective maintenance for relations.

Defining personal values is more than placing words on a paper.  Most organization includes values statements or mission statements, however many of them do not follow them.

Social Responsibility and Strategic Planning


Strategic Planning defines objectives that assess both in external and internal situation by formulating the strategy, implementing strategy, evaluating strategy and making adjustments as necessary to reside on a track in the firm.
            Basically Strategic Planning is an overall planning which facilitate a good management in a process. It takes you on an outer surface from daily activities of your association or a project. Strategic Planning provides you the bigger picture of what you are capable of doing and where you will lead to. Strategic planning also gives you clearness about what you want to achieve and how to achieve it.
            Decisions by smart businesses are not just a subject of including short-term money. Decision-makers who are wise enough will always look down the way at the impact today’s choices will have on tomorrow towards the people, on the opinions of customers and on the community. Social Responsibility is an obligation of any organization's management to the interests and welfare of the society which will provide the resources and environment so that it can survive and grow which can be affected by the organization's dealings and policies.
            Appropriate planning approach consists of issue based or goal based planning model in which time, budget and resources are taken into account. It first develops them, then monitors or reviews them and then updates the plan.
            Strategic Planning is the backbone of any organization. Strong planning leads to the achievement of organization’s mission. Similarly, increased globalization and competition has resulted in organizations be more socially and environmentally responsible.

Consumerism! Advertising? PR!


                 Consumerism is all around us. It stays with us from the cradle till our grave. In fact it attaches itself to us even before birth. The extent of consumerism can be seen from the commercialization of love and sex. And the interesting fact here is that today’s consumer themselves don’t know the extent of consumerism. They think it’s but natural to have material possessions to make one fee; happy and contented. For example as Naomi Rockler writes, it’s a girls’ childhood dream to have a huge wedding with extravagant decorations, catering and clothes. She thinks it’s a part of her life; in fact a wedding is like a whole new beginning,   so how can she just make it plain and simple.  Consumers are of the opinion that they have one life and it’s crucial that the live it to its fullest. They just don’t want to miss out anything .
                Television has boosted consumerism as no one else. The whole FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) industry thrives on the fact that they get exposure on television. They wouldn’t be able to survive without it.  Not on FMCG but durables and white goods are also being heavily advertised on the mass media. The interesting fact here is that we as consumers think that we are watching television but the TV is also watching us back. There are devices that monitor our watching patterns and billions of dollars are spent researching to find which channels we watch at what times. In this way companies can give more advertisement on the channels we watch more. It’s all money making vicious cycle.
              Now even children are made target of this. Parents think their children should watch cartoons as they are harmless and their child would remain unaffected from the perils of this world. But that’s not the case. First children used to read story books and play outside. But then the trend shifted. Children spent less and less time reading books and gave more time to watching television Cartoons such as Tom and Jerry, Snow white and the seven dwarfs, sleeping beauty and power puff girls became the talk of the town.
An average American sees 20,000 different commercials in a year. Throughout his life time he’ll get exposed to different kinds of influencers. Television, newspapers, billboards and now even washrooms and schools are branded. So much effort is being put in marketing and selling of goods. Competition has increased so much that marketers don't want any opportunity to be left untouched. They want to avail every window of opportunity that knocks.
             According to Featherstone (1991, 86) the consumer is made conscious that he not only speaks with his clothes, but with his home, furnishings, decorations, car and other activities” This clearly illustrates the height of consumerism. But the question here is that how did consumerism become so popular. How did the shift from simple living to materialistic living happened. The answer lies in the success of advertising and selling. Advertising has become a lucrative industry and companies allocate billions of dollars to advertising budgets. As we all know, the basic purpose of advertising is to sell. Creativity in advertisements has flourished excessively in the last decade. Advertisers have come up with excellent and mind blowing advertisements for their clients and this in turn have increased sales. The increasing number of sales automatically explains the increasing level of consumerism.
              Ewen (1988) says that consumers need to live up to cultural standards of perfection. When consumers see the advertisement, they imagine themselves as being the other one. They aspire to be like the other one and thus buy the products.  They buy the product with the fact in mind that this particular product will make them perfect. It has made us more and more materialistic. The aim of repetitive advertisement is to expose the consumer again and again to a product. This makes the consumers sadder as they can’t afford to have it. The early men were happy as they didn’t have the lust to have more and more. The advertising world exposes us to what we don’t have and we work harder to achieve that. This is why we have become like working robots. We as consumers think it’s normal to work 18 hrs a day because we need to have a good living. What defines good living? A Lexus or an apartment with attached swimming pool or perhaps a long vacation every month?
              Ewen further comments that consumerism was promoted to encourage capitalism. He further says that advertising is not about simply selling. It was a corporate propaganda to control consumers and promote the perils of capitalism. Capitalism thrives on the concept of consumerism. Buy more, produce more, and earn more.
                When consumers got tired of seeing advertisements, marketers came up with public relations and promotions. Different types of gimmicks are used to sell products. Journalists and product experts are paid to write good reviews about the products. Buzz and rumors are planned by marketers to control word of mouth marketing. News is made up to gain attention from customers. Companies build up stories to gain identity. In fact there are firms that practice public relations. Multi nationals pay billions of dollars to control what people are talking about them. Social media such as face book twitter etc. is excessively monitored and used by companies to see the buying and browsing patterns of consumers. It seems if we have been invaded. There is no privacy whatsoever.
Sometimes it seems that we are living in an artificial world where everything is planned!

Communication

               Speaking is an essential part of any professional life, without which your endurance in the job market is almost not possible. At the preliminary levels it may be probable that you might not be necessary to speak publically or to give presentations. But as you advance in your career you are compulsory to do both. Many of us experience panic when looked with the hope of speaking in public and speak to a crowd. Whether a person is addressing a minute group of people or a huge meeting that person is vault to feel some height of nervousness.
                Effective organization can make speaking easier because organization and structure are amongst the most significant components of any structure of speaking. Structure helps in keeping the audience busy and a speaker remains focused on a message. A vey general rule for upholding effective structure in speaking is that say what you are going to say, say it, and then say what you just said. Even though this seems very repetitive but this is a helpful model because it makes visible what your point is, the process of how you will communicate that point and then ring a bell to reader that what they have just heard has a reason. It in particular helps in a training context; it gives a trainer three dissimilar ways to make certain that a learner confine what is being trained in case they were gone astray along the way.

Women rights and expectations in Islam

                        In a society, the status of women is not fully matured neither is it a clean issue. On the other hand the situation of Islam in the world has been laid by least neutrality. This paper enlightens the rights and expectations of women in Islam.
                    Islam has provided women human rights to be equal to a man and be his partner in life. Allah has created women as the same soul as man. The famous story of Adam and Eve in Bible, Quran doesnot blame eve but both Adam and Eve that they were tempted and commited a sin but then were forgiven. Islam has given a unique individuality to a women. They are independent and responsible. Responsible for herself and for other as same being for male and will be rewarded or punished in the Hereafter, and will not face and gender discrimination.
                    With Human rights, civil rights are also given to women in Islam. Islam doesnot say that a women has to change her father’s name to her husband’s name for marriage, a women is recognized by her own identity. A women in Islam has always the right to reject or accept any proposal, even has the right for divorce accordingly done by Islamic Laws.
                   This is can only be a misconception that Muslim women are not allowed to step outside their homes. But Islam gives permission to Muslim women to go outside and do work and meet their relatives. There wont be no objection on them for going out of their house as they are speaking and dressing accordinlgly as mentioned in Islamic guidelines. Islam has given equal right to a man and woman to attain education. Allah has always encouraged learning in women. Religious knowledge has always been given the first reference and other knowledge after that. And a husband is not allowed to stop his wife in getting basic religious from knowledge outside home.
                    In Islam a husband should never deny a women who wants to go to mosque to pray but in Quran Allah has said it is better for a women to stay at home and pray as it will also keep her away from unnecessary mixing up with man in mosque. It is true that Islam treat a man and woman equally plus Islam has given equal rights to both of them but the rights are not identical as they differ.  It makes sense that equality and resemblance is quite different, another fact that man and woman are physically different but get equal to each other in important ways.
                  The importance and significance of women in Islam and their true worth of being human is categorized differently. It is recognized by their fear of Allah and their obedience towards Him. Meanwhile Islam is the most practical religious and understands the different situations and need of a human. As many Muslim women also want to work for having different reasons. Although Islam doesn’t prohibit of women working but a working women should always follow the Islamic restrictions to safeguard the honour and dignity of them being women. They should protect the firmness of  Islamic Society.
                  Nowadays as western culture is more dominant and so is the western dressing. In western culture covering is more likely to be low self esteem and people think in a way that you have something you are ashamed of as dressing seem to be more open-minded. And in Islam Muslim women is to stay away from prying eyes. In Islamic Culture, woman is the one who carries the burden and responsibility of family.
                 The Muslim who live in different societies for example in European Society, Muslims traditional ways of doing things like marriages becomes under pressure because young women wants to marry of their choice rather a cousin who is coming from abroad. A Muslim women always feel pushed around everywhere in all the directions, they are even assumed to be too much of Europeanized sometimes amongst their community.
             Biggest challenge faced by any Muslim Women is socioeconomic. For example, Britain from the rating of ten only has two percent Muslim women who are being paid for work and they have the worst health from the general population. It mostly happens with Muslim Women that they lack at having education and no qualifications at all expect for a few.  According to a report of England in Whales, published in February 2001, Muslims were the ones who constantly reported of unfair treatment on higher level apart from other groups. The report was considering every aspect like accommodation, employment, education, law and order.
             Not a lot but quite a few women in Muslim societies have become famouse phenomenal political leaders. The relatives of Propht Muhammad who were female particuartly became important as they knew how to practice teachings. Through father and husband the rest of the women came into knowledge.                        
            Few examples are; the favoured wife of Muhammad, Aisha who participated in the Battle of Camel and was a prominent political actor. The famous 13th Century ruler of India, Razia. The 16th Century Queen of Zaria, Amina presently in Nigeria. In Ottomon Empire was a period called ‘ sultunate of women’ in 17th Century when a lot of women had more power on affairs of state.
              Islam being very similar to many religions of this world is spreading enormously due to some of it unique acts. Many western believes that Islam restricts women but now it has been proved wrong because Islam gives more rights to women which were never enjoyed in 19th Century.

Inclusive Classroom Setting is productive for students. In inclusive classroom students get active they are not passive learners anymore. They make their own choices and possible decisions. But parents’ involvement is needed.

To force them ask question a teacher always put students in a sort of group activitity which is focused on some topic. Or a teacher ask students the questions and make sure that the rest of the class answers that question. And when there is a problem lying at a doorstep, discussions always take places as students just become curious.
                Many factors influence a particular classroom. Students should never feel that are not gaining success. All the above aspects which teachers have given in this research is very important and should be kept in mind.
